The second series of controversial teen drama Skins is back - with some surprises in store for fans.
A cliffhanger at the end of the last episode saw lead character Tony have an unfortunuate encounter with a bus.
Tony however is back for the new season which also features guest appearances from Shane Ritchie and Bill Bailey - and promises more storylines involving sex, drugs and parties.
But actor Nicholas Hoult who plays him says he’s not the same person because of the serious head injury he suffered.
More drama
He told Newsbeat: “Tony is very different because of the old bus accident. But the whole show is very different this time round.”
He continued: “Everybody’s moving on. You’ve got the characters established so you can develop them and see their lives as they are now after what’s happened and what’s going to happen. It’s definitely focussing more on the drama side this time round.”
April Pearson plays Tony’s girlfriend Michelle. She revealed that her character has pretty much abandoned her beau since he got the bump to his head.
She also hinted at another interesting plot twist. She told Newsbeat: “There’s a bit of a Michelle/Sid story line coming up which you’ll have to keep your eyes peeled for.”
Fake Sid alert
Meanwhile, Mike Bailey who plays Sid revealed there’s been a worrying incidence of people turning up at last week’s Skins premiere parties across the country impersonating him, even down to the glasses and beanie hat.
“Even I don’t do that,” he laughed.
The first episode of the the new season of Skins is on E4 on 11 February at 10pm then on 14 February on Channel Four.
